Samuraipunzel

Samuraipunzel is a small endless runner made for Samurai Game Jam.

Overview

In Samuraipunzel you need to defend your village from enemy attackers. You do so by quickly running through the village, jumping over the rooftops and clearing off any invaders, that you can see. The village will seem endless, so the more invaders you can beat and more honour you can gain, the better.

(Right arrow key / D key / Gamepad B / Gamepad Stick Right / Gamepad D-Pad Right)	Use a low attack to block low flying shuriken and arrows or to block a Samurai holding his sword low. Holding the button/key holds your sword in that position, but slashing projectiles away gives more points.
(Up arrow key / W key / Gamepad Y / Gamepad Stick Up / Gamepad D-Pad Up)	Use a high attack to block high flying shuriken and arrows or to block a Samurai holding his sword up.  During the draw, you can also defend low flying projectiles. Holding the button/key holds your sword in that position, but slashing projectiles away gives more points.
(Space key / Gamepad A) ( + short press or long press)	Jump up to avoid attacks or to jump onto roofs. A short press gives a low jump, and a longer press will give you a higher jump.
(Down arrow key / S key / Gamepad Stick Down / Gamepad D-Pad Down)	Drop down when you are on roofs. Hold to pass multiple floors.
	Counter Samurais by matching their stance. Use a low attack when they hold their sword low.
	Counter Samurais by matching their stance. Use a high attack when they hold their sword high.
	Collect charms to gain back health.

Behind the scenes

The game was developed using Godot Engine and C#. The graphics are made by myself. The sounds, music and font are third-party assets. Please see Assets.md for more details.

Downloads

The Windows and Linux (at least on Steam Deck) builds are tested. Sadly, I can't provide a Mac version, because of export problems (might come later).
