A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Enchanted Scarecrow Gone Wrong

In Enchanted Scarecrow Gone Wrong a druid enchants a scarecrow to help the farmers and to protect the carrots from stealing crows. You take the role of that scarecrow, but maybe you don't only defend the carrots from the crows. Maybe you can harvest some souls and put them to better use.

Gameplay

In the game you...

...defend the harvest from crows by drawing barriers (hold right mouse button and drag)...

...and from farmers by pulling out their souls (drag with left mouse button and then cut the soul).

For every 2 souls collected, you can bring a carrot to live (click on it).

There is also a tutorial explaining the controls.

Audio Controls

I didn't manage to implement a menu for audio controls. But the following shortcuts can help:

  • M - mute/unmute sounds
  • + or arrow up - increase volume
  • - or arrow down - decrease volume

Ludum Dare Notes

This game is a jam submission for Ludum Dare 52 with the theme "Harvest" and was made in the time of 72 hours.

This time I tried out Godot. The graphics are made by myself and the sounds are created with Bfxr. Sadly I had no time to make any music. The font in-game is the font 'Octavius' from Ikkle Font Pack by JackOatley.
